Another week as I sit here waiting for news on when I will be returning. Apparently, there was paperwork that I was supposed to do, but wasn’t told to do until just 2 days ago. Now, with those in, I should finally be ready for them to just get me a plane ticket…hopefully. Why is it so hard to get back into the field? It’s not even a question of desire here, just a bunch of confusion with the mission department that’s driving all of this.
Anyhow, I’m still working hard with the missionaries and eagerly anticipating my return to frozen Iowa. It will be a bit of a climate change from home (we’ve got highs in the 70’s all week), but I don’t care. I just want to get back to doing what I was called to do.
This past week has really given me a new-found appreciation for the Priesthood. Over the course of the past week, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of multiple priesthood blessings. In each case, there was a need, the Spirit was felt, and I was allowed to be a tool in the hands of my Heavenly Father. How much better can it get? I am grateful for the Holy Priesthood and how it allows me to serve others in a way that I would never be able to do on my own.
Have a great week, everyone! Stay warm!
Faith and Honor,
